Rhys just can’t keep his eyes open. He’s been traumatized by the last few minutes; from a warm, dark, muted place, to a bright, loud, cold, busy place. Maybe if he just closes his eyes…..
Born July 4th at 5:11pm he weighs 5lbs 4.7oz and is 18 1/2inches long with bent legs.

Bountiful Baby Real Born Steven Asleep
This is Bountiful Baby Real born Steven Asleep re-borned by Marta Towne of Wolfsong Reborn Nursery. Painted with multiple layers of Genesis heat set paints and hand drawn hair using PrismaColor pencils and sealed with Matte Sealer. Rhys is a joy to see and even more of a joy to hold. He has a soft clothe body filled with two different types of poly-fill and weighted with glass beads for that real baby flop. His head must be supported as his neck is floppy and his body simply melts into your arms. His body has never had to take oxygen from his little lungs and spread it through his body, so his little body is a bit purple/red still, and the transition was so traumatic! His head, arms and legs are vinyl. He has a magnet behind his lips so he can have a magnetic pacifier (included)
This is NOT a child’s toy, it is a work of art and not meant for rough play. Gently handling is necessary to preserve the integrity of the doll. Also, this is ART, what I consider beautiful, you might not. This doll is far from perfect, there are things you might not like on him. He is my fourth doll, so I am far from an expert. But I am incredibly proud of him and I believe he is an beautiful piece of art. He is meant to be in that purply/red stage of just 15 mins or so old; before the blood has started to pump oxygen well. If he isn’t your idea of a wonderful baby, please keep looking; you deserve to have your dream baby.

Ask questions…. I encourage and welcome any questions. This doll is NOT gender specific and can be whatever gender his new mama chooses; I have included a photograph of this doll in girl clothes to give you an idea of how he’ll look as a girl.
These photos were taken in daytime in natural light and have had no filters added. I have a no return policy, so please make sure you will be happy with this baby before you make a purchase. The baby will come with two outfits, a lovey, magnetic pacifier with pacifier strap, hospital bracelet, birth certificate, Certificate of Authenticity from Bountiful Baby and a small box opening.
