Jon’s kit was a gift from a wonderful friend and client who is the mommy to several of the babies I’ve made, custom and otherwise. She gifted me with him after hearing me yearn for him for months….and I loved every moment of painting him. Jon’s legs barely fit one at a time in my New Wave Oven, and he’s the biggest baby I’ve made using Heat Set Paint. Jon also has an armature that allows his head, arms and legs to be posed in numerous ways which I was a little concerned about, but now love. Getting it put togther was a pain in the butt, but connected and installed I love it. I want to try and put one in a smaller baby next….lol.
Jon is NOT for sale, he’s mine, because I’ve always wanted a baby this size and I love him deeply already. UPDATE! Jon Took First Place Premium at the Boone County District Fair in Boone, County Arkansas in September 2024! Entered as a girl (because my daughter made the most beautiful dress!) Jon/Jonna received a “cute” notation on his/her Card! While I will most likely never enter this fair again due to the lack of decorum the BOONE COUNTY FAIR board allows it’s PAID judges to exhibit, it was still an honor to win three years in a row with different babies.
